Highland Rental Finance and Nolands Incorporated support the PDSA

We at Highland Rental Finance are passionate about our business but we are also passionate about animals.

"Nolands Incorporated approached us with the idea of a joint donation venture to appointed charity organisations. Together, we are striving to initiate and encourage the power of giving through maintaining strong committed levels of support to our chosen non-profit organisations." Says Jacqui McWilliams, CEO of Highland Rental Finance.

"Both our businesses rely heavily upon technology to provide the market with the highest quality of service in our specialised fields. We understand that our less fortunate non-profit organisations rely solely upon donations and fund raising. In order for them to get across to the public their urgent pleas for assistance, they desperately require the tools with which to do so." Says Clive Noland, Chairman of Nolands Incorporated.

Together, Highland Rental Finance and Nolands Incorporated have donated computer workstations to the PDSA (People?s Dispensary for Sick Animals).

"We were met with the most welcoming of arms and we certainly could not let it end there." Says Riaz Ebrahim, IT administrator of Nolands Incorporated.

After spending the afternoon with our animal friends, we have also lent our support to assist in the PDSA annual golf day as a sponsor.

It is a 4 BBB Stableford competition followed by prize giving. There will also be an auction, a raffle and a putting competition. The golf day takes place at Rondebosch Golf Club on Friday 11 December 2009.

The Peoples' Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) was established in South Africa in 1937 and founded originally in the UK by Maria Dickin. Her intention was to provide free medical aid and/or surgical treatment to animals/pets belonging to people who could not afford the fees of private veterinary hospitals.

"Our single most important objective is to assist poorer households to take care of their animals ? besides providing a veterinary healthcare service we also focus on preventative healthcare with a strong emphasis on sterilization of animals. Furthermore, we also undertake to educate as many young people as possible to instil responsible pet care habits in people from a young age. Certainly our direct beneficiaries are the animals we treat, however we do not view our work only in veterinary terms but also as a significant contributor to good public health and community well being." Said Linda de Klerk, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at the PDSA.
